Who benefits from the use of the Athletic Park?

Youth and adult groups in Lacombe and Central Alberta. Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Rugby, Track & Field. We also expect to host concerts, events, and high profile regional, provincial, and national sporting events which will assist businesses in town with the draw of events to the facility. We expect in excess of 50,000 people to visit the park annually.

How long has the facility been opened for?

​

The field house and stands, lights and the scoreboard were completed in September 2010. Fencing, signage and installation of the artificial turf was completed in May 2012. The Grand Opening of the facility was August 25th 2012.

Who Operates the Facility?

​

The Lacombe Athletic Park Association has sub-leased the facility from the City of Lacombe and will operate and manage the facility. The Association will continue to be responsible for overseeing user agreements, facility bookings, and will continue fundraising for operations and future capital improvements while subsidizing user fees for main local user groups.
